Fash Film Fete

September 23 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

FASHFILMFETE™ is a premiere film festival exploring the history, and future, of fashion storytelling through the curation of Hollywood, indie, experimental and documentary films to showcase the significance of fashion in filmmaking. This year our showcase film is "Happy Clothes: A Film About Patricia Field" and her works on shows such as "Sex and the City," "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Emily in Paris." We will be honoring Patricia Field and Ruth E. Carter with Costume Design Career Achievement Awards in Film and Television. We have selected nine independent films to showcase at the festival as well.

In addition to showcasing films that illustrate the role that fashion plays in helping tell a character’s story, we also want to provide a platform for historically unheard voices of underrepresented people in film and fashion, specifically people of color and women.

We are excited to invite you to join us on this journey as we explore the intersection of fashion and film.

FASH: Short for fashion, relating to wearables.
FILM: A story or narrative in movie format.
FETE: French for festival or elaborate party.
